It was further recognized via a blog post from Katy Perry where Perry endorsed the track Runaway. It was her birthday celebration. Aurora Aksnes first musical memory was when she discovered a piano within her loft and being attracted by its sounds. Jan Oystein Aksnes and May-Britt Aksnes encouraged her to learn music. Not for a job or as just a pastime, but to develop. Therefore, she created her own compositions. She points to renowned songwriters Leonard Cohen and Bob Dylan for inspiration, as well as an affinity for Bjork's style. Her mom encouraged her to sing her music publicly, not in order to be famous, but to make others aware of how significant they are and what they can bring to the world. The piano was first played by her when she was just 6 years old and began to write music at the age of nine. The family members didn't know about it until she turned 14. It was never a dream to become Aurora. According to her, she simply is a fan of writing songs. Music to her is the best way to feel any emotion.
